To enhance study abroad opportunities for students with disabilities, IES Abroad offers grants to students whose disabilities may add significant costs to their study abroad experience.
You may be eligible for a disability grant if you:
- Have a disability that adds significant cost to your study abroad experience.*
- Are accepted to and attend an IES Abroad program.**
How to Apply
Complete the IES Abroad Disability Grant Application by the appropriate deadline:
- Summer: April 1
- Fall: May 1
- Spring: November 1
*Please note that many academic accommodations, such as additional time for examinations, quiet location for examinations, etc. may be available to you without cost. Speak to your IES Abroad Advisor to learn more. These types of accommodations provided by IES Abroad are not eligible for disability grant consideration.
**Students on Customized & Faculty-Led Programs and full-time semester internships are not eligible for disability grants.
