About the Program
While studying abroad in Rome, you take courses on child development, cross-cultural psychology, the Italian education system, and more. Learn about the historical roots of Italy’s educational policies and discover the international impact of the work of Italian pedagogues like Maria Montessori, Loris Malaguzzi, and Don Lorenzo Milani. As part of your coursework, you’ll also spend time in preschools in Rome and Reggio Emilia observing education best practices and witnessing the Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches at work.
